    Welcome to Greece

  • Day 1

Welcome to Greece! Upon arrival at the Athens airport, you will be met by your True Greece transfer representative, who will assist you with transportation to your first night's Athens luxury hotel. Once you have settled, take advantage of our travel recommendations and head out to explore Athens' exciting neighborhoods such as Plaka, Monastiraki, or Kolonaki.

During your first exploration, you're sure to get a glimpse of the beauty of the most famous Greek landmark, the Parthenon. You'll have the opportunity to explore this ancient monument during your second stay in Athens. If you have not included a guided tour of the New Acropolis Museum as part of your Athens Highlights tour, then this would be a perfect opportunity to discover this incredible museum. Be sure to enjoy your first Greek cuisine experience at one of our True Greece recommended Athens restaurants or traditional tavernas.

  • Day 1

This morning you will travel to the magnificent island of Patmos. Check-in to your room at our favorite family run luxury boutique hotel and prepare yourself for an island get-away experience where you will feel as though you are part of the family. Once you have unpacked, take advantage of your Patmos True Greece Recommendations Guides and plan a day of discovery. Exploring nearby beaches or visiting the tiny fishing village of Grikos are just two of several options. In the evening we recommend walking around the main settlement of Chora, and enjoying a cocktail in the open-air courtyard of one of the local bars.

  •

    Day 2

Today you will discover why this beautiful island is frequently called "the Jerusalem of the Aegean!" In the morning, join your local True Greece guide on a visit to the historic Monastery of St. John. From there, you'll head to the Cave where St. John, the disciple of Christ, is said to have written the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse). End your day with a peaceful evening stroll through the wonderful whitewashed town of Chora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with many houses and churches dating back to the medieval era.

  •

    Day 3

Many of our guests view today as the highlight of their vacation package! In the morning, don your sun hat and board a caique - a traditional Greek boat - for a day cruise to a series of pristine nearby isles. With crystal-clear waters and virtually deserted shores, this is the paradise to which the Greek and international elite go to escape. Stop for swimming or simply stay onboard and enjoy some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of Greece. Your final beach stop is home to nothing but three restaurants, both accessible only by boat, and you'll be treated to a late lunch at a seafood taverna that is among the very best in Greece. Upon your return to Patmos, get some needed rest and enjoy a gourmet dinner with Greek delicacies at one of True Greece's recommended restaurants ~ perhaps the hotel's restaurant!

  •

    Day 4

By now you've come to know Patmos well, and you've got one more day to try something new or return to that favorite spot! Using your Patmos True Greece Recommendations Guides, select from many diverse options, including a hike through the hills to Psili Ammos beach, which will reward you with a quiet stretch of beautiful sand and a quaint beachside taverna.

That evening, choose from the many traditional tavernas and enjoy a fun-filled night of Greek island hospitality and Greek delicacies.

  • Day 1

After checking-in to your authentic luxury boutique hotel, venture off exploring the modern city of Rhodes, walking through a bustling city and along the pier and seaside, as well as the main streets and alleys of the Old Town.

Both old and new sections offer some of the most fascinating shopping you'll be able to do on this trip - anything from souvenirs and jewelry to clothing and colorful scarves.

  •

    Day 2

Start today with a local True Greece guided visit to the Lindos Acropolis, which sits high above the village of Lindos - in fact some of you may want to take advantage of the donkeys to make the ascent! Isolated at the edge of a steep cliff, not only can you adore the Temple of Athena, but you can also look down to the small rock-bound harbor where legend claims Paul the Apostle landed. After descending, take a short time to appreciate the village of Lindos, designated a national landmark to preserve its traditional narrow streets and architectural details. Should you have enough time on your way back to Rhodes town, you may coordinate with your transfer representative and your True Greece guide to cross over to the west side of the island and explore some of the nicest natural environments in Rhodes.

  •

    Day 3

Together with your local True Greece guide, explore the Palace of the Grand Masters, an experience which should be in every vacation package to Rhodes. Visit its museum, and learn all about the fascinating history of the Knights and the various sieges of the city of Rhodes; the latest one by Suleiman the Magnificent, the leader of the Ottoman Turks in the 1500s. Some of you may decide to continue on your own to the Archaeological Museum, housed in the former Hospital of the Knights, while others may prefer to enjoy the afternoon at one of the many beautiful beaches.

  • Day 1

Board a short flight back to Athens, where you'll enjoy the last memorable day of your True Greece luxury vacation package. In the afternoon, take a tour of Athens and its most significant sights together with your local True Greece guide. Of course, no vacation package to Athens is complete without a climb to the Acropolis ("peak of the city"), where Ancient Athenians of the 5th century BC erected the great temple dedicated to the goddess Athena - the extraordinary Parthenon. You will also see the Ancient Agora, as well as some of the finest structures of modern Athens, such as the Kalimarmaro Stadium, home of the first modern Olympics in 1896, and the old Royal Palace and today's Parliament, with the elite unit known as the Evzones guarding the Monument of the Unknown Soldier. Finally, celebrate the end of your luxury travel experience with a farewell dinner at one of our recommended Athens restaurants.

You're sure to leave Athens, full of wonderful memories, having found a new and comfortable home in Greece.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
